Richard "Dickie" N. Lane

Richard N. “Dickie” Lane, age 78 of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. He was born on October 4, 1946, in Mansfield to the late Richard N. Lane, II, and Mary (Yonkovski) Lane, and on July 3, 1980, he married the love of his life, Dana R. (Lewis).

Dickie graduated from Union High School and then went into service with the United States Army. After his departure from the military, he worked for Gorman-Rupp for 42 years, retiring in 2009. He was a faithful member of Bellmont Community Church, and he enjoyed trains, fishing, and camping. He also loved bowling and playing cards with friends and family. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Dana Lane; his daughter Brandy (Josh) Dodd; his sisters Linda Lang and Priscilla (Kerry) Gearheart; his grandchildren Taylor, Kaitlynn, Landyn, and Zachary; his great-grandson Luca; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mary Lane and his sister Kandie Lane.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. A private burial will take place at Windsor Cemetery.
