Roberta J. (Holderbaum) Layland

Roberta J. (Holderbaum) Layland, 60, of Bellville, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022.

Roberta was born September 28, 1962, in Wooster, to Charles “Ted” Holderbaum and Ida (Fowler) Boeman.  She married James Layland, the love of her life, on February 28, 1998, and they enjoyed 24 years of marriage. She loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed playing bingo and gambling.

Along with her mother, Ida Boeman of Mansfield; and her husband, James, she is survived by her son, Josh (Taylor) Layland of Ontario; stepson, Matthew (Micki) Myers of Mansfield; grandchildren, Makalea, Melissa, Renee, Mayze, Mia, and Artemis; brothers, Robert (Alisa) Holderbaum of Mansfield and Ross (Ester) Holderbaum of San Antonio, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Roberta was preceded in death by her father, Ted Holderbaum; stepfather, Robert “Bob” Boeman; and sister, Robin Rogers.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Roberta’s brother, Ross Holderbaum, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
