Rodney D. Lyons, 55, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021.
He was born April 25, 1966 in Mansfield to Harold “Gene” and Mary W. (Pettry) Lyons. Rodney was employed at Vitro in Crestline, OH. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding with his wife, Irma, Lance and Loretta.
Rodney is survived by his wife of 35 years, Irma Jean Lyons; son, Matthew Mollett; daughters, Alexandria Lyons (Terry Gillum) and Kristina Bentley; grandchildren, Treva “Evie” Roberts, Kaniel, Zaliey, and Derek Gillum, and Leland Bentley; mother, Mary W. Lyons; brother, Rick (Karla) Lyons; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many friends, who will miss him dearly. The lives he touched and the adventures he had will not be forgotten but will stay forever in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Lyons; maternal grandparents, Posey and Audrey Pettry; fraternal grandparents, Noel Jackson and Mary Louise Lyons; one granddaughter, Athena May Gillum; many uncles and aunts; one cousin, Bobby-Jo Branham; and in-laws, Clyde and Glenda Mollett.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
