Ronald A. Metzger

Ronald A. Metzger, 72, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Ronald was born February 9, 1950, in Bucyrus, to James and Ruth (Brewer) Metzger. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Ronald married Kathleen (Hallock) Metzger on June 12, 1976, and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2017. He was a very loving father, husband, and grandfather. Ronald enjoyed coaching, and fishing.

He is survived by his father, James Metzger of Columbus; son, Robert (Jessica) Metzger of Ashland; grandchildren, Mason, Noah, and Kierston all of Grove City, and Natalya of Ashland; brothers, Rick (Christin) Metzger and Dave Metzger, both of Columbus; sister-in-law, Karen Hallock of Niles; nephews, Jason Metzger and Nick Metzger both of Columbus, and Chris Metzger of Florida; and niece, Stephanie Carroll of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Ruth Metzger, and son, Nathan Metzger.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. Military honors will be performed at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home by the Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
