Rosalyn "Lyn" D. Cook, 75, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield following a brief illness. Lyn was born January 7, 1942 in Findlay, Ohio and was the daughter of Howard Lee and Hazel Dorthea Miller. For many years she was a member of the Richland County GOP and the Richland County Republican Women's Club. She was a former GOP Committeewoman, former Precinct Committeewoman and worked on many national, state, and local Republican campaigns. Lyn worked for the City of Mansfield for 25 years retiring in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Grove and Tracy (Sam) White; six grandchildren, Aimee (Steve Eagle) Kovinchick, Parker Grove, Ellis Grove, Jennifer (Kyle Whitaker) Grove, Jordan White, and Noa White. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Richard Lee Miller and David Troy Miller. Calling hours will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd., Mansfield, OH. Memorial Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Al Humble officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home on their behalf.
