Ruby Jean Patton Adkins, 63, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021.

Ruby was born August 29, 1957 in Mansfield, to Paul Edward and Ruby (Slone) Patton. She was a graduate of Lucas High School and was a nursing graduate from North Central State. Ruby retired from UTMB in Huston, Texas, as a former director of Vascular Services. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and going to garage sales. Ruby loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Adkins, who she married in August 1995; son, Jacob Adkins of Mansfield; two granddaughters; brother, Paul J. Patton; sister, Jennifer (Michael) Underwood; several nieces and nephews; three step-children, Matt (Mandy) Adkins, Tim (Dawn) Adkins, Anita McWhorter; eleven step-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan (Pat) Hubert and Rob (Jaime) Kershner.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and one infant nephew.

No services are planned at this time.
