Rudolph C. “Rudy” Brumenshenkel, 94, of Holmesville and formerly of Mansfield, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
Rudy was born March 6, 1927, in Mansfield, to Carl P. and Linda M. (Fehrman) Brumenshenkel. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII from February 22, 1945 to May 10, 1946. Rudy enjoyed antique tractor shows and especially liked the steam engine and hit and miss engine tractors. He also loved old cars and trucks and was known as a wheeler and dealer, collecting many of these antiques over the years. He was well liked and had many friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Wilbur (Martha) Brumenshenkel of Lexington and Rose Hoffner of Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Brumenshenkel; and his siblings, Chester Brumenshenkel, Eileen Stutts, and Elmer Brumenshenkel.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue West, Ontario with Pastor Nathaniel Foote of Lexington Grace Brethren Church officiating. Military honors will be performed by Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
