Steven E. Jaynes

Steven E. Jaynes, 70, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Born on November 6, 1953, Steve was the son of Earl Jaynes and JoAnn Garzaniti. A devoted husband to his wife, Debbie, for 44 years, Steve cherished their life together and made it his mission to ensure her happiness and well-being. He was also a loving father and grandfather, finding his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support, Steve was not only a pillar to his family but also a cherished member of the community. He had a quick wit and was always ready with a joke, bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His warmth and presence were a constant comfort, as he made it a priority to check in on friends and family, always valuing those connections. He was a source of strength and support to many, always offering help where it was needed.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Jaynes; his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Andrea Jaynes and Jason and Megan Jaynes; his grandchildren, Aria, Layla, and Hudson Jaynes; his sisters, Debbie Fyffe and Sharon Maldonado; and many cousins and close friends.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and generosity that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield. All are welcome to visit and honor Steve and his life well-lived.
