Susan A. (Stimens) Thompson

Susan A. Thompson, 73, of Mansfield, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Susan was born January 5, 1949, in Mansfield, to Joseph and Helen Stimens. She always embraced the daring adventure her life was meant to be. She was a loving sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Susan enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved them very much. She loved family gatherings, fishing, road trips, country drives, and her favorite hobby was going to garage sales, making other people’s junk her treasure.

She is survived by her son, David Thompson (Denise Miller) of Mansfield;  daughter, Heather Thompson (Jay Hollar) of Mansfield; grandchildren, Kymberly, Jordan, Blake, Destany (Tim), Ariel, Colten, and Austyn all of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Savannah, Aubrie, Kinzleigh, Lakelynn, and Baby Hale all of Mansfield; brothers, Richard “Dick” (Phyllis) Stimens of Knoxville, TN, Jim (Barb) Stimens, Joe (Thelma) Stimens, and Tom (Kathy) Stimens all of Mansfield; sister, Debbie Stimens of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Helen Stimens.

Private services will be held for the immediate family.
