Viola L. Fuqua

We regret to announce the passing of Viola L. Fuqua, 70, of Mansfield, OH, on June 2, 2022. Viola passed away after an illness.

Vi was born on July 14, 1951, in Mansfield, OH to Robert L. and Mildred E. (Curry) Fuqua. She was loved by many and kept us all laughing. She never met a stranger, loved her family, and was never too far from her sisters.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Fuqua; grandparents, Henry and Mattie Strong; son, Julian Fuqua; aunt, Lucrecia Strong; sisters, Wanda Fuqua, Emma Warfield, and Joann Cory; brother, Robert Fuqua, Jr.; and nephew, Antony Williams.

Viola is survived by sons, Quinten and Jayson Fuqua; sisters, Mattie Williams, Phyllis (Elder Tillman Jr.) Franklin, Essie Bass, and Patricia Ford; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The memorial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Latter Rain Church of God in Christ, 259 Glessner Avenue, Mansfield, OH 44903, with a repass to follow.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Viola’s life.
