Virginia “Helen” (Cremeans) Bentley, 92, of Mansfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
Helen was born March 31, 1930, in Olive Hill, Kentucky. She was married to Stanley Bentley, who preceded her in death. Helen retired from Bogner Dry Cleaners but is best remembered as being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and faithfully read her Bible, often quoting scripture to family and friends. Helen loved her family and enjoyed cookouts with them. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed canning from her garden, and tending her flower beds. She was also a talented seamstress, and enjoyed making quilts, along with crafting and painting.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Traci) Bentley, Freida Barnhart, Sonia (Harley) Harper, and Travis Bentley; grandchildren, Steven Michael Bentley, Clifford (Amy) Bentley, Christel Swilley, Jason Barth, Elisha (Larry) Compton, Skyler Barnhart ( Ashley), Ethan (Kristen) Barnhart, Brian Barnhart, Ashley Barnhart, and Shyann Barnhart; special great-granddaughters, Alaina and Bailey Compton; and many more great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Francis Roark; husband, Stanley Bentley; and sisters, Marylene, Yorkie, and Pauline.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at Mansfield Cemetery.
