William L. "Bill" Liebhart

William L. "Bill" Liebhart, 81, of Wakeman, formerly of Mansfield, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Bill was born on May 5, 1933, in Mansfield, to Frank L. and Opal L. (Barnes) Liebhart. He retired from Crane Plumbing/Artesian after 40 years. He was a former member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, and served in various ministries for many years, including, deacon, head usher, and bus ministry/bus driver. He was also a member of the Temple Toppers. He was a current member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk, where he ushered, and was a member of the Joy Agers. His hobbies included gardening, fixing, repairing and inventing items around the house, motorcycling, and being the "family photographer". Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth (Jones) Liebhart, whom he married on December 7, 1961. Also surviving are three children, David W. (Tia) Liebhart and Larry P. (Betty) Liebhart, both of Mansfield, and Susan E. (Brad) Miller of Wakeman; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Nicol, Eric (Melissa) Liebhart, David Nathan Liebhart and his fiancé, Amanda Switzer, Rebekah (James) Shumer, Jacob (Shelby) Miller, Daniel Miller, Lucas Miller, and Olivia Miller; nine great-grandchildren, Autumn, Logan, Mylah, Lydia, Malachi, Aubrey, Bailey, Kylie and Brie; and one brother, David J. (Marilyn) Liebhart of Richfield. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Dana J. Liebhart and infant, Larry Liebhart. Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 N. Stewart Road, Mansfield with Pastor Robert J. Kurtz and Pastor Joe Grof officiating.
