Ronda Werner

Ronda Werner

Licensed Funeral Director & Social Worker

Ronda Werner is the manager of Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Religion in 1985 at Capital University. Ronda is a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Funeral Director. 

Ronda is the mother of three children (Joshua, Rosa, & Jonny), grandmother of one active little boy, and an active member of Westside Baptist Church. Her passions include church activities, spending time with her family, reading, sewing, swimming, and riding her horses.


Gene L. Gompf

Gene L. Gompf

Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer

Gene L. Gompf completed his education at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1985. After serving his apprenticeship under his father, Robert Gompf, he received his license for funeral director and embalmer in May 1986.

Gene is active in his community. He is the dedicated father of five very active children and three grandchildren.


David L. Haines

David L. Haines

Funeral Director & Embalmer

David is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD.  He earned his Associates of Applied Science in Mortuary Science and a Bachelors of Mortuary Science from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.  David also holds an Ohio Crematory Operators Permit and a limited lines insurance license.

David has been active in the Marion Evening Lions Club, Oliver Lodge No. 447 F. & A.M. Caledonia, Marion County Republican Central Committee, a lifelong member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Marion.

David and his wife Dixie have five children, 25 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


Kim Paugh

Certified Preneed Consultant

Kim Paugh is our Aftercare and Pre-planning Specialist. She received her Associate Degree in Office Administration from Central Ohio Technical College, her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University. Before moving into the funeral profession, Kim spent more than 25 years providing outstanding customer service in the retail and insurance industries. She has taken her customer service skills to the next level by providing compassionate and informative care to families who desire to plan ahead for end-of-life needs.

 

Kim enjoys helping families plan and prepare in advance for their funeral plans. Her wealth of experience as a funeral professional allows her to give the families, she serves expert guidance and advice in all aspects of advance planning.

 

Kim was born and raised in Mount Vernon, OH on a farm and is a true country girl at heart. She and her husband, Jeff, have 4 fur babies (Romeo, Benji, Hammy & Brutus). Kim loves her family and spends as much time with them as possible. Her hobbies include baking, enjoying the outdoors (especially the beach) and her animals.


Bruce Phipps

Bruce Phipps

Funeral Assistant

Bruce graduated from Lexington High School in 1965. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving his country from 1969-1971. He was employed with Keybank for 38 years and joined our firm in 2006. Bruce is a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.


Donna Garcia

Donna Garcia

Office Manager

Donna is our office manager, joined our funeral home in 2004, and had worked in an office setting for many years prior.  She enjoys the challenges that go along with preparing for a funeral. Her past experiences have prepared her to warmly interact with families.

Donna was born in Alaska, grew up in Pennsylvania, and earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, FL.  She  moved to Mansfield in 2001 to marry her husband, John.  Donna is an active member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, loves and serves the Lord, and has a genuine concern for others.  She enjoys reading, traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with family, especially her husband and and their four legged furbaby, Bridger.



Renee Underwood

Secretary

Renee has been working for Werner-Gompf Funeral Services since 2013.  She was born in Mansfield and graduated from Madison High School in 1971.  She began working at a local bank as a Cooperative Office Education student in 1970.  She then attended Kent State to earn Installment Lending Certificate and Athens University for a two-year Banking Operation Certificate.  She took additional banking courses at North Central College, where she worked until her retirement in 2010 following nearly forty years as an Assistant Vice President.

Renee enjoys sewing, crafting, running around with her sister Becky, and taking care of her husband Perry and their "too many" rescue cats.
